The Recreation Commission is an advisory commission to the Mayor & City Council.

It consists of seven members (who will each serve an appointed term of four years) and a Coordinator. The Recreation Commission assists with organized groups conducting recreational programs; stimulates interest in the care and preservation of historical and scenic sites; makes recommendations to the Mayor and Council on the needs and general state of the Municipality and of the recreation and parks programs and facilities. Annual summer programs consist of but are not limited to: Kite Flying Contest, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Movies, Summer Concerts, Summer Fun, Fourth of July Fireworks and Food Court, Senior Citizens Day at the Reds Game, City Wide Yard Sale, and Trick-or-Treating at the Police Station.
